How do I become a Level 1 official?
Register for and complete Nordiq Canada’s updated Level 1 Officials course. The workshop is delivered online and is designed to be completed at your own pace (it should take about 4 hours). Access the workshop on The Locker using your existing NCCP number (the same one you use for coaching if you already have one) or by creating a new account.
The Level 1 Officials workshop is designed to train officials in the following areas:
- Our Sport & the Role of the Official
- Organizing a Race
- Competition Secretariat
- Techniques and Format
- Courses
- Stadium
- Timing
- Regulations & Conduct
- Safesport
- Conclusion
After successfully completing the workshop, you will be a certified Level 1 Official and be ready for Secondary Roles, Individual Administrative & Technical Roles at events.
