Officials

Officials must have an active membership on SnowReg (after July 1, 2026), and both SafeSport Training and the Rule of Two courses completed, in order to be actively involved as officials in any capacity for the 2026-27 season.
Officials Level 2 Course: November 7-8

When: November 7 – 8, 2026
Cost: Free
Level 2 officials can:
- Perform all major, secondary and administrative duties at cross-country ski competitions at a divisional level and below;
- Be a reliable witness if infractions occur;
- Perform instructional sessions in “individual technical” duties;
- Make organizational decisions that consider the needs of the athlete and risk-management issues; and
- Organize and officiate interval-start, pursuit, sprint, mass-start, and relay competitions.
Prerequisites:
The course participant must:
- Hold a Level 1 officials’ certification*
- Performed at least three different “secondary official” duties in sanctioned cross-country ski events
